WHERE CAN YOU PERFORM?
ImaginAerial can perform at a wide variety of venues. Ballrooms, theaters, concert halls, convention show rooms, you name it!
WHAT CAN YOU DANGLE FROM?
Lots of things, believe it or not! Structural support, beams, trusses, lighting grids etc. Not sure about your space? We'll be happy to perform a site evaluation to answer all your questions. (Please note however, that we cannot hang off of fire escapes, swing sets or trees, we have been asked!)
IS IT DANGEROUS?
Well, it is circus after all! Yes, there is an element of danger, but the myth far outweighs the reality (consider that if people were constantly injured, no one would do it!). It is not possible to safely use a net or safety wire with aerial silk, it poses more of a danger than the act itself. We do observe some hard and fast safety rules though. The only one that affects our clients is this: under no circumstances can we perform directly over an audience. Aside from that, we take care of ourselves by doing our own rigging or supervising a union crew, and performing extensive safety checks of our equipment and performance space. Yes, we have liability insurance, but don't worry - we've never had to use it!
HOW MUCH SPACE DO YOU NEED?
In order to do our complete act, we need 21 feet of space. However, we can modify for shorter ceilings and we also offer a variety of ground acts if you find that aerial work is not appropriate for your particular venue.
